IACA Love Award

IACA Love Award

The Seattle Iranian Festival, hosted by the Iranian American Community Alliance (IACA), was recently presented the 2009 Love Award in recognition of its positive works in the Seattle community. This award was given on behalf of Steve Sneed, the manager of programming for Seattle Center Productions and member of the Washington State Arts Commission. The presentation of the Love Award comes in conjunction with the proud entrance of the Iranian Festival into Seattle Center Festál, a year-long series of 22 ethnic festivals that honor the cultural richness and diversity of the Pacific Northwest.

The Seattle Iranian Festival and IACA proudly accepts this award on behalf of the Iranian American community, its volunteers and supporters that allowed for the success of the Festival in 2009. The IACA looks forward to future successes and encourages community involvement in the 2010 Iranian Festival.

Getting involved with IACA

IACA is for us, for our new generation and our greater community. The wonderful people who are the core of IACA, work with great love, enthusiasm and passion to bring unity in the Iranian-american community. This is about showing everyone the beautiful and positive side of Iran through cultural events. Getting involved for the festival, I helped to put the kids program together and it has been very fulfilling for me. The children showed their love by beautiful dance which is truly the language of soul. It has been a great pleasure to work with dedicted volunteers who made the festival and shows happen. I believe it helps our new generation to be proud of their rich heritage. I encourage everyone to be part of IACA and get involved.
