Ali was born in Tehran in 1959 and moved to Seattle in 1979. He started Cherry Street Coffee House in 1992, which has grown to 5 locations in downtown Seattle. He is one of the original co-founders of the Iranian American Community Alliance and has served on the Board of Directors since 2006. He is proud and excited to be a part of IACA for the past 5 years. Ali’s goal is to bring a sense of celebration and excitement to the larger community through cultural Iranian events that reemphasize the goodness in diversity and inspire young Iranian Americans to be proud of their heritage and be actively involved in shaping a better future for everyone. With the power of goodness and love, we will bring great things to our community, both locally and nationally.
