To Submit an Article or Announcement for our Newsletter:
The IACA e-newsletter goes out twice a month, around the 8th and the 22nd, to individuals on our general list. The newsletter contains announcements about upcoming IACA events, opportunities to get involved, and general community events that fall under the below guidelines. We also include a separate announcement about the Shabe Jomeh monthly event.

The deadline to submit announcements for the newsletter is on the 1st and the 15th of the month. Please email them to Polly Peshtaz at

GUIDELINES:
We will accept announcements about events related to the Iranian/Persian community, including cultural events, educational events, community service opportunities (to serve the Iranian community or the greater community), civil rights events, professional/networking opportunities, social services available to the community, etc.

We will not accept political or religious announcements, unless they are educational in nature and represent multiple
religious/political views. This is because IACA is a nonpartisan and nonreligious organization. Examples of events we will accept include:

-Together We Build recently organized an interfaith event called "Understanding the People of Iran," seeking to educate Muslim, Jewish, and Christian congregations about Iranian culture. This event was both educational and represented Iranians of different faiths.

-Seattle members of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) organized an educational event explaining ballot initiatives for the 2005 election to local NIAC members. This was strictly nonpartisan with the goal of encouraging Iranian Americans to vote
