We appreciate everyone who went the extra mile to be hospitable to the attendees, take care of things behind the scenes, make children happy, and more! So here's a new call: the IACA Civic Action Committee needs you! If you are interested in working on a film, want to build your resume, or need research experience for grad school, this is your opportunity. We are beginning a new project - a video project that examines how the US media portrays Iran, the inaccuracies/biases, and the effects the biases can have. We are working with Pepperspray Productions, who will be doing the filming and editing, but in order to make it work we need people like you to help. The following are areas in which we could use help: Research To research: Which stories to cover Which media clips to include To find footage by: Recording current media for new stories Going through archives Journalism To interview: Americans Iranians Experts Outreach To promote the distribution of the completed video. Fundraising To help raise the funds needed to produce and distribute the video. If you would like to learn more about this project, we would love to see you at the Information Session we are having this Thursday, July 5th at 7:30 at the Bellevue Library. Contact Julia Getsch at juliagetsch at hotmail.com or 425-442-8154 for more information or to RSVP. Also, please let Julia know if you are interested in this project but cannot come to the Info Session. We look forward to hearing from you soon! -- ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I am the last note waiting to be played pleading with you not to question why at the height of musical moments pleasure diffuses into mist or teardrops fall into the open curve of joyous smiles. . . ~Azadeh Farahmand
